Campus update

Transire - to go across

The word 'transition comes' from the Latin word 'transire', which means 'to go across'.

On Friday, 21st June 2024, all our learners met their new class teachers as part of our transition process.

Change is unsettling for everyone and we have all experienced this at some point in our lives

Transition can cause a lot of anxiety. Anxiety is a feeling of worry or fear.

The importance of transition day is to ensure that we ease any anxieties that our learners may face. It is also an exciting opportunity for learners to experience a new setting.

The transition process will continue during the Autumn term. Learners will work on settling in and forming new, positive attachments.

For further information on signs of anxiety in our young people, the YoungMinds organisation provides some useful resources:

Once progress review meetings have taken place, we will send a letter to parents to confirm classes for next year.
