Shining the light on Science

Science at West Lea aims to nurture young scientists. We want to help our learners understand the world around them- through experiments.

Year 8 is currently looking at shadows.

Year 7 is diving into the fascinating world of solids, liquids, and gases. They're exploring how wet clothes dry on a washing line!

Year 9 is grappling with forces and gravity, pondering why we don't float off into space.

Our learners are enjoying all the experiments in their science lessons. How can you encourage scientific thinking at home?

Ask your child to help with measuring ingredients or observing changes while cooking. These simple actions can spark curiosity and deepen understanding.

Science is all around us – let's explore it together!
