Campus update

Hello everyone!

We are focusing on helping our learners develop their oracy skills in every lesson.

Oracy is all about:

  • Being able to express ideas,
  • Understanding concepts
  • Engaging with others through speaking and listening

It's a crucial skill that sets our children up for success in school and life.

Our teachers have been using two key strategies: 'odd one out' and 'would you rather'.

These fun activities encourage discussion and reasoning. For example, learners explored the past and present. Learners studied pictures and were asked to identify which object didn't belong.

You can have a go at an 'odd one out' activity ourself!

Imagine looking at a cup of hot coffee, a can of coke, an energy drink, and a cup of hot herbal tea - which would you say is the odd one out?

It's amazing to hear how many different answers there are to this task!

Dress-up day: We're turning RED to celebrate Red Nose Day next Friday 21st March. We are asking you to come to school ‘red-to-toe’ too. Whether it’s a red shirt, red socks, red hats, or even a red tutu, we want everyone to get involved. Let’s see how creative we can get with our outfits!
