Haselbury Elections
Welcome back from the summer holidays. We hope everyone had a lovely time, whether at home or abroad. It's wonderful to have our school community back together again.
We were particularly excited to welcome our new learners on Tuesday. We had a fantastic week getting to know each other. There's something special about those first few days.
During the week, classes have been busy preparing for our student council election. I had the pleasure of listening to the speeches from our candidates. Each one spoke with real conviction about topics close to their hearts. We are now waiting for the votes to be counted and verified.
Our student council members will meet regularly throughout the year to discuss different topics. For example, at the end of last year, they chose 'MIND' charity to receive proceeds from our summer fair.
If there are any charities close to your heart, please do let us know and we'll pass these suggestions on to our newly elected representatives for their next donation decision.
