Maths is all around us!
This week, our middle leader Miss Rundle and Head of Curriculum, Mrs Poplar visited our maths lessons. They saw many creative activities that they wanted to share with you.
In Lister Class, learners participated in a classroom treasure hunt, searching for items with repeating patterns.
Gallagher Class focused on written subtraction and base10 concepts. Some classes explored capacity using cups, pasta, and oats to understand the ideas of ‘full’, ‘empty’, and ‘half-empty’.
In Nichols Class, teamwork was the focus as learners used number squares to find common multiples of 2 and 3.
Maths isn’t confined to school, you can keep the learning going for your child at home too. Try using coins as counters, playing cards to practise multiplication and addition, or measuring ingredients while cooking to learn fractions. These quick and easy activities help your child build on what they learn in class each day.
The Theatre Pass Scheme enables members of our community to access our programmes.
Within the Theatre Pass Scheme, you receive 8x free tickets to any Chickenshed show or workshop throughout the year.
