Personalised Sensory Regulation in Lister Class
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting learners’ emotional wellbeing and self-regulation, Lister Class has been developing and implementing personalised sensory regulation strategies tailored to individual needs.
The class ball pit is currently being used as a supportive resource, helping learners when they feel overwhelmed, distracted, or dysregulated. It provides a safe and calming space, enabling them to regain focus and re-engage with their learning.
Students are now more confident in recognising their own emotional states and proactively choosing strategies that support their learning. These sensory regulation activities are seamlessly incorporated into daily routines, ensuring that learners have consistent access to support in a way that feels natural and empowering.
This initiative highlights the importance of personalised approaches in promoting positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and meaningful engagement throughout the school day.
