Fury Class Thrive at Capel Manor

Learners from Fury Class visit Capel Manor each week for work experience, building practical skills, confidence and independence through gardening and animal care.

Following the recent hot weather, they have been planting, watering and maintaining new grass areas, learning to care for the environment while showing teamwork and perseverance. One learner said, “Planting the grass was fun. I liked digging and making it look nice.” Another shared, “My favourite part is working outside with my friends.”

Learners also clean animal enclosures, prepare food and feed the animals, and learn the daily routines needed to keep them healthy and well cared for. These tasks develop responsibility in a real workplace.

We are proud of their enthusiasm, resilience, and achievements as they build life skills beyond the classroom, and we look forward to their continued progress throughout the year.

At West Lea, every family deserves to feel welcomed, valued, and heard. Scroll down to complete our Family Belonging Survey by Friday 6th November 2026 and help us build an even stronger school community.
