Campus update

Fun at the Summer Fayre

Our students have been busy preparing this year's Summer Fayre at Haselbury campus.

They've been working together in teams to plan activities in their Life & Work lessons. This is an annual event led by our students for younger students to enjoy.

I love to hear about their new ideas to help make this event bigger and better every year. In the lead up to the event, I've been receiving emails from students about their plans.

These have included details of the stalls they would be running. as well as, the resources they would like. Their event planning skills have been impressive.

On the day, our students showed great leadership. They were fabulous role models for our younger students.

They ran tin can alley, hook a duck and ping pong stalls. They also hosted penalty and basketball shoot outs.

Creative options included: biscuit and cake decorating, bead making and tote bag stalls. Of course the very popular 'splat the teacher' stall was back again this year!

For Meridian and Haselbury students, this was a chance for them to take part in a community event. They got to use their money management skills, and of course to have some summer fun!

Despite the unpredictable weather it was a fantastic day with lots of fun had by all.

We wish our interns all the best as they embark on their employment journey through the supported internship programme.
