Campus update

New Beginnings

Friday 21st June was whole school transition day.

We welcomed students joining our campus for the first time in September. Students in year 12, moving into year 13 also took part.

I was very proud of them as they were great role models for the new students. Many of them helped to make sure the day ran well.

They all spent time in their new classes. This was a chance to get to know their classmates and their teachers.

Students took part in some team building activities, including a crime scene investigation. They worked together to find out who committed the crime. It was great to see them get involved by reviewing the clues and evidence. I heard some interesting theories about what they thought happened.

We talked about the new Ponders End site and they got to walk down to see the building from the outside. They also got to ask questions about what to expect next year.

Students got the chance to vote on what they wanted to do for the freshers trip in September. The most popular choice was to go to Whipsnade Zoo!

There was a lot of excitement but also some nerves about this key transition point.

Teachers will be getting in touch with all parents/carers to discuss next year with you. This will be a chance for us to work together to help a smoother transition in the new school year.

Look out for some more information about transition plans. We'll be sending transition packs home before the end of the year.

We look forward to working with all the new classes in September.
