Good vibes all round

Last Friday, I attended an exciting end of year event. It was a pleasure to see our interns and supported internship staff. It was a chance to celebrate their successes. 

As I spoke to many of the interns, it was great to hear about their unique experiences on the programme. One intern told me how proud he was of himself and how happy his family are about his new job.

Another was talking to his Job Coach Marvin. He was was overjoyed about his imminent contract of employment.

Job coaches were full of praise as they spoke about the interns they've been supporting this year. Job Coach Justin was handing out end of year reports. These included photos and notes about their internship journey - a reminder of how far they'd come.

It was lovely to see how they had bonded as a group.

They socialised with their friends as and enjoyed the buffet with some drinks. It was a poignant way to mark the end of the programme.

One of my highlights was watching an intern order his drink and proudly declaring, "I did it on my own!" 

There were great vibes all round - a fantastic way to end the year! I wish you all a very happy summer break and I look forward to welcoming you back in September.
