Welcome Back!
This week marked the beginning of Autumn Term 2. We welcomed back all Horizon students and got back into the swing of things after the half term break.
Our Sixth Form students started the week with a new focus in their Creative lessons on Monday.
Creative lessons are an addition to the sixth formers timetables. This is a result of the students pupil voice discussions. It is very important to receive the learners feedback!
These lessons foster creativity and talent whilst helping students focus on mindful activities. These are good for the learners mental health and wellbeing.
Last half term, students took part in drama workshops with Chickenshed theatre. They used their imagination and immersed themselves into fun and engaging tasks.
This half term, they're working with local artists to produce some creative art pieces. They’ll be doing collages, screen printing and creating sculptures.
We look forward to sharing some of their creative designs with you throughout the term. You might also want to carry on getting their creative juices flowing at home too. Take a look at this video by one of our partners, Tiger Monkey.
