Last year, we consulted with learners to find out about the activities they would be interested in doing outside of school hours.
We had some interesting feedback and used this to create the Horizon Summer Hang Out clubs in June.
These were a great hit. And so we introduced more Horizon Hang Outs at our St Mary’s Centre, which started this month.
Students told us they wanted to chill out with friends. Although some wanted to take part in organised activities, others just preferred to have somewhere to hang out.
In response, we introduced a range of activities, including sports coaching, film club, cooking and a gaming truck. We also created a space to hang out with friends to watch a movie, chat or play board games.
We wish our interns all the best as they embark on their employment journey through the supported internship programme.
Soon, all school related communication will go through School Gateway.
