Campus update

Creating healthy habits for a lifetime

Staying physically active is an important part of growing up. That's why we continue to include PE/Sports as part of the curriculum at Horizon campus. Sixth Form students access 1.5 hour lessons involving physical activity once a week.

Our curriculum intent at KS5 centres around preparing for adulthood. The focus of PE/Sports for our older students is on supporting them to access community services in the future. This will help them to stay active and keep fit beyond their time in formal education.

Students are encouraged to set personal goals and track their individual progress. They challenge themselves to improve their fitness levels.

As the school year progresses we're excited to be introducing some new equipment to our fitness studio. This includes treadmills, bikes and cross trainers. The aim is to build student’s confidence to exercise independently and help them develop healthy habits into adulthood.
