Campus update

Our local MP visits Horizon Campus

It was a pleasure to welcome Feryal Clarke MP, for Enfield North, to Horizon Campus.

Some of our student council leaders led the way as they showed her around Horizon Campus. They showcased what our Ponders End site has to offer.

As we took her on a tour of the site we were able to show lots of lessons in action.

This included: a catering and hospitality lesson. Students were making savoury scones in the training kitchen.

We also visited the media suite. Students explained that they were creating a website in Creative Media lessons.

As we walked and talked, students shared information about the English and Maths departments. They also spoke about the spaces they use during break and lunchtimes and the activities we offer.

Student council leaders spoke about their roles. They explained that they had been elected by their peers at the beginning of the school year. We talked about how they helped shape the site with their manifestos.

It was an exciting opportunity to share information about what we do at Horizon campus. Students did a great job welcoming our MP on site and talking about our campus. They also showed that pupil voice is important and enables them to have their say at school.

To celebrate Red Nose Day next Friday 21st March we are asking you to 'Wear it red'. See how creative you can be, we want everyone to get involved.
