Would you like to work here?

This week Horizon Sixth students have taken part in some career exploration trips. 

The purpose of these visits is to learn more about the world of work and different industries. 

Walsh class went to Meridian Water studios.  This is one of 3 sites in London and part of Troubadour Studios. 

Students heard all about the work that happens in these studios.  They got to hear from staff there about the filming process and jobs in the industry.

Did you know this is where the movie Damsel was filmed?  It’s a fantasy film that was made for Netflix and stars Millie Bobby Brown.  Another well-known production filmed there is Marvel’s Morbius.

 Other career exploration taking place this term includes:

• Trips to Google headquarters
• An Asda superstore
• A Greggs distribution centre

Please do ask the students what they thought about the trip.

Talking about careers is important. It helps young people decide what they might like to do in the future.
