Welcome back.

The summer term is officially underway, and it’s been lovely to see Horizon learners and team members getting back into the swing of things. There's been plenty of catching up, with everyone sharing stories about what they got up to over the break.

Although it's been a short week, there’s already been lots going on at Horizon Campus. One highlight has been seeing the fantastic work students have created in their construction lessons at college.

This term’s focus has been on woodwork. Learners have been practising how to cut and shape wood, exploring different joint techniques, and assembling pieces before painting and decorating their creations. They’ve also spent time evaluating their finished products and thinking about how they could improve them next time.

We’ve even been able to put some of their creations to use around Horizon – like adding their handmade footstools to our classroom calm corners.
