Campus update

Out & About in London Town

Our Year 12 learners have been busy researching London landmarks and planning visits to tourist attractions as part of their Life & Work lessons. They looked at how much tickets cost, mapped out journeys into central London, and discussed how to keep safe when travelling.

This week, they had the chance to put their learning into action with a trip to the London Eye on the South Bank. Ahead of the visit, they practiced using apps like TfL Go and Google Maps to plan their route. They also talked about what to do if their plans changed unexpectedly, such as in the case of strikes or diversions.

We were so impressed by how they worked together as a team to navigate their journey. The breathtaking views from the London Eye were a well-earned reward for all their hard work and preparation.

Why not use Google Earth to explore where they went and discover what else is in the area?
