Exploring Future Pathways at Barnet and Southgate College

This week, our Year 13 learners visited Barnet and Southgate College. The trip helped learners explore the different courses available for September 2026. 

The visit began with a presentation in one of the college’s lecture rooms. Learners had a clear overview of what the college offers. They then went on a guided tour of the campus and got to experience:

• The Creative Media suites, where students work on digital projects.
• The Immersion rooms used for Engineering, offering hands-on learning.
• A realistic hospital set-up for Health and Social Care.
• The gymnasium and sports hall, giving a feel for student life at the college.

Learners also learned about the different courses available.  These include Foundation, Level 1, and Level 2 programmes. They asked great questions and showed real interest in what the college has to offer.

We’re proud of how they represented West Lea, and how they made the most of the opportunity to explore their future options.
