Celebrating National Careers Week

Our learners took part in a Careers Fair as part of National Careers Week, to explore future education and employment options. They met visitors from different sectors, including facilities management from Churchill Services Group, and local government through Camden Council. We also welcomed representatives from Haringey Sixth Form, Barnet & Southgate College, and our own West Lea Supported Internship team.

Learners spoke with the representatives from these organisations, asked questions, and learned more about the courses, jobs, and training opportunities available after Sixth Form. It was lovely to see how confident and engaged they were as they discovered different pathways.

Some classes also participated in mock interviews. These sessions helped learners practise talking about their skills and experiences in a supportive space. They also gave them a clearer idea of what real interviews are like.

National Careers Week was a positive experience for our learners. It gave them the chance to explore different ideas, learn more about the world of work, and think about what their next steps might be. We are very proud of them and look forward to creating more opportunities like this.
