Gold Class Afternoon Tea Event
As part of the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) volunteering activities, learners in Gold Class recently organised and hosted a wonderful Afternoon Tea event for parents and carers. This special occasion provided a meaningful opportunity for them to showcase the wide range of skills they have been developing in their Life and Work lessons.
From the moment guests arrived, learners demonstrated excellent social and communication skills, offering a warm and confident welcome. They guided visitors to the catering room, engaging politely and thoughtfully with parents, helping to create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere throughout the event.
The afternoon was a true reflection of their hard work and dedication. Learners took pride in presenting and serving a selection of refreshments, applying practical catering skills alongside teamwork, organisation, and attention to detail. Their ability to host the event so professionally highlighted not only their growing independence but also their confidence in real-life situations.
