Year 10 Learners Build Confidence at Thriftwood
Before half term, our Year 10 learners visited Thriftwood Activity Centre as part of their transition to the Learning for Life Campus. The visit gave learners an opportunity to get to know one another, take on new challenges, and develop valuable teamwork skills.
Learners took part in a range of activities, including vertical assault, crossbow shooting and team-building challenges. Throughout the day, they demonstrated resilience, encouraged one another, and stepped outside their comfort zones.
One learner shared, “I enjoyed the zip line the most and climbing with my friends. I was not scared. I felt proud.” Another commented, “I enjoyed the climbing because I got so high up.”
The visit was a fantastic opportunity for learners to build confidence, develop independence, and form new friendships as they begin their Key Stage 4 journey.
