Learning For Life Campus

8th March 2024

Campus update

Students at Learning for Life Campus, have been celebrating Careers Week with a focus on Creativity and Performing Arts.

Hill Class and Dutoit took part in a workshop with an experienced cartoonist and animator.

They learned how to draw cartoons step by step using circles, squares, and squiggles.

They collaboratively created a design for a platform game in which they had to get their character to safety from scary spider webs and evil bosses.

Dutoit, Hill, and Lanthaler visited Chickenshed Theatre for a behind-the-scenes tour.

Students had the privilege of watching a short rehearsal of an upcoming play, allowing them to see firsthand the roles within the sector such as Director, actor, light and sound technician.

Students took part in a drama workshop, engaging in confidence-building activities with a focus on using their bodies to express themselves.

To end careers week there will be an 'open to all' dance workshop as well as a visit from an external music company ‘Conductive Music’ where students from Arnold, Wright, and Dutoit will learn new ways of making music using technology.

The learners worked so well together. They were a genuine credit to our school. Well done Learning for Life.
