Wright Class at The Stoop
On Monday, Wright Class swapped the classroom for the rugby pitch with a brilliant trip to The Stoop in Twickenham, home of Harlequins Rugby Club.
The day started with a special behind-the-scenes tour. Learners got to explore the changing rooms, check out the training spaces and find out what it takes to be part of a top rugby team.
They learned about the many different roles, from players and coaches to physios and analysts. They also heard all about the ups and downs of the Harlequins’ season and discovered just how many people work together to make match day happen. It really brought the world of sport to life.
Then it was time to get moving. The class headed out onto the training grounds for some fun and energetic team games. Everyone got stuck in and there were lots of smiles (and maybe a bit of sweat too).
To finish the day, learners were treated to ice lollies in the sunshine, kindly handed out by staff at The Stoop. A cool end to a fantastic day of learning, teamwork and sport.
