Wright Class Start Work Experience
As part of this term’s work experience cycle, Wright Class have started their work placements at Horizon this week. Learners are engaging in hands‑on creative enterprise activities. They are using Cricut Machines to design cards and a range of other items that will be sold later. This practical project helps them learn about product design, small‑scale production, and basic enterprise skills.
This is an exciting opportunity for learners to understand the workplace, including expectations, routines, teamwork, and communication. Throughout these sessions, they are supported by a dedicated job coach who gives them personalised guidance to help build their confidence and independence.
The experience is already proving very useful. Learners are developing important life skills such as problem‑solving, time management, organisation, and creative thinking. We are excited to see how much they grow over the next few weeks.
