A Vibrant Black History Month Carnival Celebration

Just before half-term, we celebrated Black History Month with a vibrant and exciting carnival celebration.

It is a much-loved celebration across the Caribbean and the Americas, bringing communities together through music, dance, culture and delicious food.

Throughout the day, our campus was filled with colour, energy, and joy as learners took part in a range of carnival-inspired activities. Everyone had the opportunity to discover more about the rich cultural traditions that make carnival such an important celebration for communities around the world.

The event encouraged learners to explore and appreciate different cultures while recognising the achievements, contributions, and heritage of Black communities. It was a wonderful day filled with fun, laughter, creativity, and opportunities to learn.

A special thank you to all the parents and carers who joined in the fun by limbo dancing their way through the school gates. Your enthusiasm helped make our Black History Month carnival a fantastic success.
