Campus update

This week, we've been having fun with sensory circuits.

Sensory circuits are a great way to help meet your child's physical and sensory needs. The children love them, and they help them concentrate better so they're ready to learn.

They're also easy to do at home. The goal is for your child to complete a series of activities. They start with an activity from the Alerting group, then move on to a Calming activity, and finish with something from Organising.

Here are some examples:

  • Alerting: Star jumps, dancing, hopping, and skipping.
  • Calming: Push the wall, build some blocks, and walk like an animal.
  • Organising: Breathe in and out a few times, blow bubbles, draw, and listen to a calm song.

These activities are simple yet effective ways of helping your child to self-regulate.

Send us an email or photo if you try these at home. We'd love to see how you get on.

Have a fantastic half-term.

Please ensure your child has suitable winter clothing for school so they can take part in outdoor learning. We recommend a coat, jumper, hat, closed shoes or trainers

We use splash suits to keep children dry when they jump in puddles!
