Ready for Takeoff!
This week, we welcomed our new children and families who will be joining us in September.
Transition can be a challenging and exciting time for our children.
They will feel excited to meet their new teacher and class friends. Yet, they may feel anxious about change. This can result in a change of behavior.
To help our children manage the changes, we have made a social story for each site. It allows for students and parents/carers to have further information about a site.
This will help to ease any anxieties that arise. Please get in touch if you need one and haven't had one posted.
We also having exciting news about our classes for 2024-25. After a vote with children and adults, we are re-naming our classes. All our classes relate to birds or magical creatures that #TakeOff!
See below our new class names;
Reception: Bumblebee class
Year 1&2 classes: Ladybird and Butterfly classes
Year 3&4 classes: Robin, Puffin and Parrot classes
Year 5&6 classes: Unicorn, Dragon, Phoenix and Pegasus classes
We look forward to welcoming you to our summer concert and graduation ceremonies in July. We can't wait to celebrate your child's achievements with you.
Please ensure your child has suitable winter clothing for school so they can take part in outdoor learning. We recommend a coat, jumper, hat, closed shoes or trainers
We use splash suits to keep children dry when they jump in puddles!
Soon, all school related communication will go through School Gateway.
Using the School Gateway app means you’ll receive letters and notifications straight away, and no more lost messages as they will all be in one place.
The app is free to download and available for both Apple and Android devices.
