'Living our values' through trips in the community.
Throughout the year, our children learn about the 5 values at West Lea School.
Today, we're celebrating our values and how we live them through our curriculum trips.
Kindness: Our children learn how to be kind to each other on long bus journeys.
Community: We visit many places in our local school community. Around Enfield, and even further away across London.
Learning for Life: Our children learn new skills about keeping safe in the community. Travel safety, using transport and spending money in a real life setting.
Innovation: We plan new places for children to explore each term. We introduce a new place to explore in each key stage.
Inclusion: It’s great to see our children interact with members of the Enfield community. When out and about, they explore and learn skills about life in the wider world.
Every class has been on trips in the community this year. We fund these trips to give our children a range of opportunities.
We all had so much fun on trips this year. We're already planning trips for every class, for next academic year!
We'd love you to send us photos of you on 'trips' with your children over the summer holidays. It could be a trip to the park, shops, cafe, religious building or even far away like the seaside!
Email your photos to office@westleaschool.co.uk and we will share the stories in September.
