Introducing PODD!
This year we are introducing a communication tool for our staff and children called PODD.
Our vision for PODD is for our children to be able to say:
"What I want to say to whoever I want to say it to, whenever I want to say it, how ever I choose to say it.”
Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display (PODD) is a book or device.
It contains symbols and words that support communication between carers, family and friends. Especially those with complex communication needs.
Having a familiar symbol will help our pre-verbal and verbal children to communicate. Not only with staff, but with each other. This will help to build and strengthen friendships.
We’d love you to join us on Monday 30th September at 6pm on TEAMS to hear more about PODD and how we are introducing this across Meridian Campus.
Important messages and letters are sent through the School Gateway app.
Using School Gateway means you’ll receive letters and notifications straight away, and no more lost messages as they will all be in one place.
