Meridian Campus

Campus update

This week, the children explored materials in science lessons. They learnt which materials are bendy, stretchy and soak up liquid. And enjoyed saying the word ‘pipet’.

Early Years children learnt about all things 'big' and 'small'. They had lots of fun exploring shapes and finding big and small objects in the classroom.

In creative, pupils explored how to use liquids and got busy being artists. They used brushes, fingers, hands and even potatoes to paint with. They cut out shapes in the potatoes and discovered they're rather slimy. They had lots of fun stamping the shapes onto the paper.

On the 11th November we respected Remembrance Day. Children made poppies to share at our Remembrance Assembly.

Finally, in English, our Willow pathway children used colourful semantics to create and write a sentence about the class book ‘Vlad and the Great Fire of London’.

Please ensure your child has suitable winter clothing for school so they can take part in outdoor learning. We recommend a coat, jumper, hat, closed shoes or trainers

We use splash suits to keep children dry when they jump in puddles!
