Campus update

Celebrating Community and Wellbeing

This week, we marked Mental Health Awareness Week across Meridian with the national theme of Community - one of our school's core values.

There's also been a real buzz on campus as transition activities began. Our Year 4 learners had their first visit to Springfield and were thrilled to reconnect with their Year 5 and 6 friends. The excitement on their faces said it all - the West Lea community spirit is alive and well.

Thank you to all the parents and carers who joined our transition Dinner Date on Monday. Your questions and feedback are helping us shape the right support for every child.

Another highlight: the eggs arrived on Monday! We've already seen the first baby chicks hatch - a joyful moment for learners and staff alike. I'll write more about the chicks next week.

On Tuesday, families joined us for a community reading event under the trees. With beautiful sunshine, shared stories, and lots of laughter, it was a perfect way to connect and unwind.

And finally, how about a weekend challenge? What could your family do this weekend to create happy memories together? Whether it's an ice cream, a walk in the park, a café visit, or a board game at home, we'd love to hear how you're celebrating wellbeing.

Enjoy the sunshine and have a great weekend.
