Why Building Friendships Matters

This Anti-Bullying Week, we’re celebrating the importance of friendship.

Friendships help children feel safe, happy, and ready to learn. When they feel connected, they’re more confident and willing to try new things. That’s why we focus on creating a culture of kindness and respect.

Friendship looks different for every child—sometimes it’s sharing a smile, playing a favourite game, or simply sitting side by side. These small moments build trust and belonging, which are essential for learning and wellbeing.

Bullying has no place here. Every child deserves to feel valued and included. We work hard every day to model positive relationships and help children understand the power of kindness. Together, we celebrate differences and teach that everyone has something special to offer.

So, what makes a great friend? For many of our learners, it’s someone who is patient, shares, and makes them feel safe. For our team members, it’s the joy of seeing those friendships blossom in the classroom and playground.

Let’s keep talking about friendship at home too. We encourage you to share in the home/school book about what makes your child feel included or supported.

We love to hear from you.
Here’s to building a community where kindness shines and friendships flourish.
