Campus update

Learning Through Storytelling

This week, our campus celebrated National Storytelling Week by bringing Goldilocks and the Three Bears to life. We began by watching our own version of the story, which quickly captured the learners’ interest. Watch our short video below the photos.

This year’s theme, “Soundtrack Your Story,” encouraged learners to explore how sounds can help tell a story.

On Monday morning, they discovered bear paw prints around the school. This sparked curiosity and excitement as they followed the clues and made loud sounds to try and find the bears.

Throughout the week, the learners enjoyed a range of storytelling activities:

  • Sound buttons – creating sounds such as footsteps and bear voices
  • Story sequencing – using objects and sounds to put the story in order
  • Microphones – practising character voices and repeating key phrases
  • iPads – creating short Goldilocks videos using photos, sounds, and clips

It has been a fun and creative week, helping learners build confidence, imagination, and storytelling skills.
