My Turn, Our Turn, Your Turn
This week, we’re sharing how we use the approach “My Turn, Our Turn, Your Turn” to help learners become more confident and independent.
We start with My Turn. The team shows how to do something new. They explain each step clearly, a bit like following a recipe. Everyone watches and listens, so they understand what to do.
Next comes Our Turn. The learner and the adult work together. Learners get to try the task, but the adult is still there to guide and support them.
Finally, it’s Your Turn. This is when the magic happens. Learners have a go on their own and show what they can do independently. They feel proud because they can remember the steps by themselves.
This simple structure helps learners build confidence, independence, and trust in their own abilities. We love seeing how much they grow each day using this approach.
