This week, we would like to thank the carers in our community.
Across both campuses we teach children about different jobs and careers. And this includes important roles that involve caring for others.
We use Little City at Dyson's Road to explore different things people do at work. Our children love to learn in a practical way by playing. They also take turns to visit our local care home and share songs and stories with the residents.
At Springfield, the children run a shop called WestCo. They use the skills they learn in their maths and 'life and work' lessons to run the shop, taking turns each week. They also learn about caring for each other.
Caring for others is an important and often overlooked skill. We'd like to say a big thank you to everyone in our community who looks after others.
Please ensure your child has suitable winter clothing for school so they can take part in outdoor learning. We recommend a coat, jumper, hat, closed shoes or trainers
We use splash suits to keep children dry when they jump in puddles!
Soon, all school related communication will go through School Gateway.
