Ladybird Class Visit to a Local Shop
This week, Ladybird Class visited a local shop as part of their Life and Work curriculum. Experiences like these are very valuable for our learners, as they help prepare them for adult life and developing independence in the future.
Before the visit, the learners worked together to decide what they wanted to buy and created a shopping list as a class.
To stay safe on the walk, they wore high-visibility jackets and harnesses. They crossed the road safely at a zebra crossing and used visual reminders to support their understanding of road safety rules and expectations.
In the shop, the learners showed great enthusiasm and listened carefully. The shop team were very welcoming and happy to see us. It was a wonderful experience and a great example of being part of a kind and inclusive community.
